If you just have a modem connected to the phone line (for FTTN and FTTB connections)
1. Connect your phone line to the DSL port (far right) of the modem
2. Light number 2 below should be flashing or solid
- If not flashing, please reply to your email ticket stating that DSL light is not flashing
- If solid, check that light 3below is on:
- If it is on, your internet should be working
- If it is not on, please follow the steps below
- If flashing, please follow the steps below
3. Connect to the wifi of the modem (ideally the 5GHZ wifi for faster connection) or connect an ethernet cable from any of the LAN (or yellow) ports of the modem to the Ethernet port of a computer
4. Open a browser and enter the admin portal of your modem (for a Kogan or TPLink modem type 192.168.1.1 or tplinkmodem.net on the address bar of the browser and press enter, for other modems seek user guide with the admin portal address)
5. Most modems will ask you to create a password or to enter the password that you have set
6. Most modems will have a Network Settings option, some will have it under Advanced Settings. Click on the network settings and choose DSL Internet
7. If there is an option to “Delete All”, delete the settings
8. Click on “Add” on the top right corner of the screen
9. Ensure setting is set to VDSL
10. Ensure VLAN ID is NOT ENABLED
If you activated before 25th of July 2023
11. Ensure Internet Connection Type is: “Dynamic IP “ (for other routers it may be called IPoE)
12. Click Save
If you activated after 25th of July 2023
13. Ensure Internet Connection Type is: “PPPoE“ and create your own username and password
14. Click Save
15. Click on Save
16 Check the modem
- DSL light should be solid
- If flashing, please reply to your email ticket stating that DSL is not working
- If solid, check that the internet lightis on:
- If it is on, your internet should be working
- If it is not, please contact our call centre
